PUTRAJAYA (Bernama): A total of 105,000 workers in the retail sector are expected to be vaccinated as part of the Retail Sector Vaccination Program (RiVAC) by August 31, with the opening of four more centers of industrial vaccination (PPVIN).

The Ministry of Internal Trade and Consumer Affairs (KPDNHEP) said in a statement that the four additional PPVINs are located at the IOI City Tower in Putrajaya, which will operate from July 26 to September 13; Petaling Jaya Performing Arts Center, Bandar Utama, Selangor (July 27 to September 20); Centro Mall, Klang, Selangor (July 26 to September 16); and AEON Mall, Nilai, Negeri Sembilan (date to be confirmed later).

“The first RiVAC PPVIN at the Mid Valley Exhibition Center in Kuala Lumpur will accommodate 31,500 people vaccinated when it goes into service from July 26 to September 6.

“The four additional PPVINs will each accommodate a maximum capacity of 21,000 people throughout the vaccination period,” the statement added.

KPDNHEP urged all businesses in the retail industry, including supermarkets, grocery stores, gas stations, restaurants, workshops, hardware stores, hair salons, to join RiVAC and register for vaccinate their employees as soon as possible.

“The ministry plans to make company-wide vaccination one of the conditions for approval to operate under the National Recovery Plan (PPN), in particular for economic activities involving face-to-face interaction. face to face and close contact, ”he added.
